This trick is use to escape from straight punch  by step out and counter with left elbow to the rib. If the attacker throw left punch to the face , the defensive step to the right about 30 degrees and weight on the right foot , bent your left arm and throw elbow to the attacker's rib.

 

 

4. INAO THANG GRIT

This technique is use to avoid straight punch by step inside and counter with right elbow to the rib. The attacker throw the straight left punch to the face.  The defensive step quickly with left foot forword inside about 60 degrees, weight on the left foot , bent your right arm and throw elbow to the attacker's rib.

 

 

5. YO KHAO PRASUMERU

This trick used for defense the straight punch by bending the body down at close quarters lets the punch passed over the head then uppercut to the chin.
The attacker throws the straight right punch to the defensive’s face and steps with the right foot forwards at the same time.
The defensive steps quickly with the left foot and slightly lowers the left knee while the right stays straight, and bends the body down forwards about 45 degrees weight on the left foot, at the same time throws up the right punch under the attacker’s chin while holds the left arm guard up on the front of the chin.

 

 

6. TA TREN KHAM FAK

This technique skill is used for defense the punch to the chin.
The attacker throws the straight left punch to the defensive’s face. Steps the left foot forwards at the same time.
The defensive steps the left foot of forwards to the half right to the attacker closed quarters, bending the right arm to push the left punches out.  Bends the left knees a little and throws up a left punch to the attacker’s chin.

Mae Mai (Master Trick) Muay Thai divided to 15 techniques

1. Salab Fan Pla

This technique use for defense of escape from opponent punch by step aside the right foot right side 1 step and turn the body to right side about 60 degrees the weight on the right foot, the right leg bent a little, turn the head and the body out and escapes from the attacker’s punch.  Then pounces on the upper part of the arm with the right hand and catches the attack’s wrist with the left hand then turns front wrist up.

 

 

2. Paksa Waeg Rang

step forward to left side in the opponent’s left arm and turn the body about 60 degrees the weight on the left foot then bent the both arms to counter the upper part and the lower part of the attacker’s arm, the both fists close to each others , the head and the face are covered by the both arms then glanced towards the opponent’s right punch.

Thai Boxing or "Muay Thai" is an art of fighting that focuses mainly on the use of different
body parts like fist, foot, knee and elbow Thai Boxing is divided mainly into 4 regions.
Each Region has its own unique boxing style.






North Region Thai Boxing such as Muay Tha-Sao,
emphasizes on the use of your feet and rapid movement to win over the opponent. Because of its unique rapid dodge, people named this kind of boxing "Muay Teen-Ling (Monkey feet boxing). The boxer tends to cover thier arms with Calico till mid-arm.





North-Eastern Region (E-sarn) Thai Boxing such as Muay Ko-rat, Muay Loom and etc. emphasizes on kicking and punching around the opponent in a wide circular motion. Muay Ko-rat has a unique punch call "bud viang khwai" (Punch Buffalo).  The boxer tends to cover their arms with rope till the elbows in order to withstand the hard kicks and hard punch from their opponent.

Central Region Thai Boxing such as Muay Lop-Buri, Muay Pra-Nakorn(Capital) emphasizes on straight punching and kicking right at the opponent and dodging through the counter-attack. Speed is essentail for this kind of boxing. The boxer tends to cover their arms with Calico till mid-arm.



South Region Thai Boxing such as Muay Chai-ya and etc. emphasizes on the concise and tactful attack. Chai-ya Boxing is famous for its skillfully use of elbows to attack the opponent
at a very close range.The boxer tends to cover their wrist with Calico in order to prevent the
strain of the wrist.
